Responsibilities
EHS Program Management, Leadership, Collaboration & Compliance
* Integral part of thespartner PU extended leadership team, bringing EHS expertise and foresight, ensuring EHS compliance for the PU and adherence to global EHS policies and guidance.
* Accountable for maintaining direct links with the site EHS team and the global cross‑site EHS community.
* Provide EHS leadership across the PU, collaborating with site EHS and functional teams to deliver comprehensive EHS support and robust systems to manage risk and ensure compliance while driving continuous improvement and qualifies a safety culture.
* Ensure alignment and collaboration between site PUs on all relevant EHS topics through joint collaboration between PU EHS functions.
* Lead, implement and improve PU‑related EHS programs (including global) in alignment with site EHS standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety laws, regulations and standards, keeping updated with emerging regulations and policies relevant to PU processes.
* Champion specific EHS programs (e.g., LOTO), including policy development, training, incident investigation and compliance monitoring.
* Implement relevant FSAP in the PU to ensure compliance with EHS standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
* Lead PU EHS operational discussions, committees and self‑assessments to support PU operational excellence.
* Provide technical oversight for all PU‑related EHS programs and activities.
* Provide accurate resolution of PU EHS related issues/ challenges and escalation as needed.
* Collaborate proactively at site and above‑site levels to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
* Build strong relationships with internal BMS customers and facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions and site.
Incident & Emergency Management
* Identify and address unplanned events such as spills and workplace injuries, in line with site, local and BMS requirements.
* Member of the siteไป emergency team, first aiders and PU EHS representative.
* Recordkeeping and lessons learned, including corrective/preventive action implementation and reporting at various levels.
Risk Management & Safety Culture
* Plan and carry out regular safety EHS walkthroughs in the PU and report findings with action plans.
* Lead pre‑job briefs and post‑job discussions for new or changed tasks to identify hazards, reinforce safety measures and capture lessons learned.
* Lead continuous improvement of PU EHS culture, ensuring alignment with site and global EHS, and promoting a zero‑risk culture.
Data & Systems Management
* Use and manage EHS platforms, programs, and information systems for investigations, inspections, compliance, biosafety and hygiene.
* Maintain databases for PU EHS documentation and perform data checks.
* Create and maintain PU EHS reports and records.
* Evaluate and monitor PU EHS metrics, perform gap analysis and manage PU EHS matters.
Audits, Inspections, Filings & CAPA
* Maintain regulatory preparedness for PU filings, audits and inspections, building rapport with external agencies and stakeholders.
* Manage PU inspection programs and participate in relevant committees, inspections, HA interactions and audits.
* Conduct PU safety inspections and communicate findings to PU leadership.
* Own PU EHS CAPA plans with PU stakeholders.
* Ensure adherence to EHS event timelines and action plans.
Training & Awareness
* Coordinate PU‑related EHS trainings, meetings and events with the PU training coordinator.
* Coach and mentor EHS PU champions.
Procurement & Contractor Safety
* Process PU EHS related purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
* Manage PU construction safety through contractor pre‑qualification, training and auditing in line with site and BMS requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
* Ensure the PU stays at the forefront of new EHS standards and applies them to existing operations while also implementing innovations and future technologies.
* Lead specific safety‑related projects (including those linked to containment levels) and their implementation, in collaboration with internal and external functions.
* Coordinate continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., 5S, Six Sigma) within the PU.
* Continuously improve PU workflows and processes with innovative solutions.
Reporting Relationship
* Reports to: Senior Director, Process Unit Head, Commercial Operations (PU Head of P1).
* May act as deputy to other site PU EHS lead (reciprocal between P1 and P3, except for PU‑specific audits/ inspections).
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Fluent in French & English (written and spoken).
* Very good written and oral presentation and communication skills; strong documentation writing.
* Strong leadership, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
* Technical expertise in EHS program management, risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
* Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and hierarchical levels.
* Exceptional problem‑solving ability.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* өшknowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and risk management tools.
Education / Experience / Licenses / Certifications
* 3‑5 years prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing safety.
* Relevant EHS permits for an OSD manufacturing facility.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Role Nature
* 100% on‑site role.
