The result is a day-to-day experience that will allow you to: /p pbWe are always looking for bright, proactive individuals to join our team! /b /p h3About the Role /h3 pWe are seeking a proactive, organised hardworking individual to join our Group Retrocession team. They will have responsibility for managing and optimizing a diverse portfolio of ceded retrocession and reinsurance programs across multiple lines of business. The role offers broad exposure to both Cat and Non‑Cat protections, close interaction with internal stakeholders and brokers, and the opportunity to contribute directly to strategic decision‑making. This is a high‑impact position for someone looking to combine technical expertise, relationship building and project leadership. /p pThe ideal candidate has deep (re)insurance knowledge across multiple lines (ideally specialty and cat experience), is comfortable managing senior broker/client relationships and is a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills. /p pThis position reports directly to the Group Head of Retrocession and collaborates closely with underwriting teams, analytics, the CUO Office, divisional CEOs and broking houses. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Placement Management /h3 ul liManaging the process of data collection and selection to prepare a high‑quality submission to the market. /li liManaging across the lifecycle of placements, including pre‑renewal kick‑offs, renewals, and post‑renewal de‑briefs/updates together with our brokers. /li liEnsuring that covers are purchased in accordance with our security requirements, underwriting strategy and internal processes, as per the External Retrocession Policy. /li liSupporting and contributing to the evaluation of our retrocession strategy for selected lines of business. /li liWork with all internal stakeholders to understand portfolio development and risk drivers to recommend and optimise retrocession strategy as appropriate, including new purchases. /li liAnalyzing and reporting on retrocession market, technical developments including new products, including consulting with brokers. /li liLeading retrocession‑specific projects. /li /ul h3Market Management /h3 ul liBuild strong relationships with brokers and markets and represent PartnerRe at appropriate conferences and market events. /li liBuild structure marketing plans to ensure adequate touch points with brokers/markets through the year. /li /ul pNote: the exact title and scope of responsibilities will be adjusted depending on the ideal candidate’s specific skills and experience. /p h3About You /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liUniversity degree in a relevant field /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul li5‑15 years of experience within non‑life reinsurance, ideally across multiple lines either within underwriting or broking. /li liStrong understanding of reinsurance structures and contract wordings. /li liExperience participating in or leading projects. /li /ul h3Skills Qualities /h3 ul liStrong analytical mindset: able to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights. /li liEffective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise messages and is comfortable communicating with exec level management. /li liStrategic thinker with a solid grasp of negotiation. /li liCollaborative and proactive team player comfortable navigating a matrixed and global organisation. /li liHighly organised self‑starter with strong project management capabilities and impeccable attention to detail. /li liNaturally curious, eager to learn new topics and form new relationships continuously. /li liProficiency in Excel – additional data analysis tools could be a plus (e.g. Power BI). /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pPartnerRe provides a working environment in which diversity is valued, where all employees feel welcome, respected, and empowered to perform at their best.
