Description
Summary
The Solar Portfolio Operations and Maintenance Coordinator is a critical team member for daily operations and maintenance activities. This position is responsible for the monitoring of operational facilities and O&M activities to ensure: safety adherence; optimal system performance for operating assets; field team situational awareness and logistics support; and organizational support for reporting and data management. Daily duties include analyzing operational data, communication with field teams for prioritized maintenance activities, inventory and logistics support, data management, and supporting the maintenance team with insights for decision-making and continuous improvement. This is a position that requires excellent time management, communication, and follow-through skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards
* Interface with SCADA, CMMS, and reporting platforms
* Monitor real-time and historical performance data from O&M systems to inform decisions and drive resource vectoring
* Collaborate and coordinate with field technicians to ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance
* Support the development of automated reporting tools for performance metrics, service logs, and compliance tracking
* Track service tickets and ensure resolution
* Interface with suppliers on behalf of technicians to support inventory needs
* Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance and maintenance reports
* Identify and report equipment issues, inefficiencies, or performance degradations
* Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, faults, and repairs
* Support root cause analysis and incident reporting processes
* Ensure data quality and consistency across monitoring systems
* Assist in preparing reports for internal management and external stakeholders
* Propose recommendations for performance improvement based on data analysis
* Liaising between the commissioning and O&M teams
* Other duties as assigned

This job operates in a professional remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and may require longer hours and weekend work.

Required Education And Experience
* A.S. degree in Renewable Energy, Information Systems, technical disciplines, or a related field. Technical certificates, military service, or certain work experience may be considered in lieu of A.S. degree.
* 2+ years of experience in solar O&M, system integration, or IT support.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
* Proficiency in SCADA, SQL, and integration tools (e.g., PowerShell, APIs)
* Experience with solar PV systems, string inverters, and energy storage.
* Familiarity with CMMS platforms and service ticket workflows.
* Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA safety standards and compliance reporting.
* Able to work in U.S. Central Time Zone.

Salary Description
