The Quality Engineer is responsible for the quality control of Technical Product Information according to writing guidelines and norms
This includes but is not limited to monitoring and inspecting content; working closely with the Tech-nical Writers in the team; reporting on all quality-related issues and training of Technical Writers.
This is where you'll excel
* You oversee the correction and review of documentation created by the local Technical Writers.
* You establish, improve and update writing guidelines for English content creation.
* You troubleshoot issues with technical writers, create effective solutions, and ensure proper support for the Technical Writers in the team.
* You assume the responsibility for quality and standards as an ambassador.
* You assume responsibility for creating and updating documentation included with products based on norms and company-internal standards.
* You coach and mentor junior technical writers and onboarders across different businesses and conduct training courses for new onboarders.
* You complete timely and accurate audits; report on findings.
* You ensure all relevant regulations, work rules, and quality procedures are followed on the department.
These are the skills you'll need
* You possess a bachelor's degree or similar education in technical communication/technical writing.
* You have advanced user knowledge in XML-based editing systems, preferably ST4 and have knowledge of media editing.
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
* You focus on service and customer-orientation and a commitment to quality.
* You can work on a team and independently, and have good communication skills, and a sociable demeanour.
* You are willing to work with international teams, with sound intercultural skills & understanding.
* You have the ability to convey difficult concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
* 10 – 15 % of travel for onsite training.
