Project Manager / Systems Engineer of installations for detecting natural hazards (f/m/d)
Join to apply for the Project Manager / Systems Engineer of installations for detecting natural hazards (f/m/d) role at Geopraevent.
Geopraevent – part of Hexagon. We design, develop, manufacture, install, and operate integrated hardware and software solutions for monitoring and alerting gravity-driven natural hazards.
We detect ice and snow avalanches, debris flows, flood waves, high water, and glacial lake outbursts to protect populated areas, critical transportation routes, and infrastructure.
We place a strong emphasis on customized, reliable solutions. Thanks to our interdisciplinary team, we are able to independently develop hardware and software systems and implement customer projects quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Two roles: As a Project Manager, lead the customer project through to installation and commissioning.
As a Systems Engineer, create the hardware design (schematics) up to the integration of various components such as radar systems, power supply, communication, and software components. If needed, develop necessary software yourself (Python, Shell). The special challenge is that the systems must be robustly installed and operated in hard‑to‑access locations.
Work closely with the team to design systems for the detection and alarming of natural hazards.
