The Fribourg Red Cross is a cantonal association founded in 1909 and a member of the Swiss Red Cross. With around 160 employees and 500 volunteers, our institution is active in the fields of health, migration, and social affairs. It acts in favour of vulnerable people, respecting the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
For our Zig-Zag Shop in Payerne, specialised in the sale of second-hand clothing, we are looking for a:
Sales Assistant
Your main duties
In this role, you contribute to the smooth daily running of the shop and the quality of customer service. Your main tasks are as follows:
- welcoming, advising and assisting customers;
- managing the cash register;
- establishing a warm, professional and caring contact with customers;
- displaying clothes and items attractively on the shelves;
- participating in unpacking, sorting, labelling and arranging merchandise;
- supporting the manager in the operational management and development of the shop;
- ensuring order, cleanliness and good presentation of the sales areas, including the shop windows.
- collaborating daily with people in temporary employment programmes (PET) and contributing to their integration in a supportive work environment;
Your profile
- you hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a retail manager or an equivalent qualification;
- you have experience in sales and a strong interest in fashion, particularly second-hand clothing;
- you are interested in human support and comfortable interacting with diverse groups;
You meet the following criteria:
- excellent command of French;
- good knowledge of common IT tools;
- commercial sense and customer relations skills;
- ease in teamwork;
- ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment;
- dynamic, organised, proactive and welcoming personality;
- professional, reliable and solution-oriented attitude.
