We’re Mammut. A brand born in the mountains, made for the mountains. Not a streetwear brand. Never have been. Never will be. We make gear for people who think a good day involves altitude, not attitude. But somehow, our perfectly good mountainwear keeps showing up in coffee shops, shopping malls, and Instagram photoshoots where the biggest adventure around is navigating the line to get a matcha latte. Don't get us wrong! We love that people love our gear, anywhere. But when a hardshell built to protect you from bad weather in the high alpine is left to waste away in cafés, wardrobes or office buildings…well, that's when we knew we needed backup.
Enter: You. Our Mountainwear Rescue Ranger.
We're looking for someone who can spot mountainwear in distress from 50 meters away and isn't afraid to have those beautifully awkward conversations with well-meaning gear enthusiasts. You’re like the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But instead of saving cats from trees, you're saving serious mountain equipment from a life of sidewalk cafes.

Every piece of Mammut gear has got a part of our soul, and when it's stuck in an elevator instead of scaling a cliff, a little part of us dies inside. Help us give our gear the adventurous life it was made for. Whether that's convincing someone to take their approach shoes on an actual approach, or simply spreading the word that mountains are better than sidewalks.

We are looking for a Mountainwear Rescue Ranger who can support our mission for a 2-week period from 15th-29th of September.
P.S. If you're reading this in a coffee shop while wearing mountaineering boots, we're not mad. Just...maybe consider a hike this weekend?

Your responsibilities
* Be a detective: Identify cases of mountainwear misuse in urban environments.
* The real deal recognition: Have a keen eye to distinguish streetwear from actual mountainwear (not every puffer jacket is made for the mountains).
* Diplomatic missions: Engage with gear wearers in a friendly matter and in good humor.
* Evidence collection: Document these encounters for our mountainwear misuse campaign.
* Content creation: Share the fun on your channels (and ours, obviously).
* Issue tickets: Hand out our specially designed "citation tickets" with a smile.
* Reward distribution: You don't just punish, you reward – for real mountainwear users, you'll make them feel good with Mammut goodies.

* Someone who genuinely loves mountains (shocking, we know)
* You believe that every jacket deserves an adventure
* A sense of humor that works at sea level AND altitude
* The ability to chat with strangers without making it weird
* Social media presence (non-private accounts required)
* DACH-based. This is a real freelance job – so you need a VAT Number or some kind of EU Tax Number (because even rescue rangers need paperwork)
* Availability for fieldwork in September 2025 (2 weeks between 15th - 29th of September freelance/remote)
