Overview

As international sales manager you are responsible for driving growth by developing and executing sales strategy, managing client relationships and expanding our company’s presence in targeted markets. You will work closely with retailers in developing tailor made products of our great tasting chocolate products. You are able to form strong relationships with both your customers as with a vast range of internal stakeholders. The role will be based within our office in Caslano, Switzerland, and will encompass frequent travelling.


Key Responsibilities

* Actively presenting our wide portfolio of products to our customers. Guiding, advising and supporting our partners in making decisions regarding their (all year round and seasonal) chocolate assortment. Identifying customer wishes and pro-actively translating these in opportunities
* Together with your new colleagues developing and translating concepts into Private Label proposals. In this role, you have frequent contact with various clients and colleagues at different locations/countries.
* Analyse the market trends and translate these into business opportunities;
* Accurate customer demand forecasting and actively analysing deviations between actuals and budgeted sales volume
* Taking a collaborative, connecting and active role within our organization.(e.g., supply chain, Finance and R&D) to align sales initiatives with product development, and logistics for seamless international delivery.
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with our customers, conducting regular check-ins, solutionselling sessions, and loyalty-building activities to maximize repeat business and upsell opportunities.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with our customers, ensuring mutually beneficial deals that account for currency fluctuations, seasonal demands, and volume commitments.
* Represent the company at international trade shows
* Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export/import documentation, and cultural/local market nuances (e.g., EU food safety standards).
* Prepare and deliver regularly sales performance reports to senior leadership


Your Skills & Expertise

* A completed Master’s degree in a relevant discipline to the role
* A driven, commercial, and enthusiastic approach with a hands-on mentality who likes to take initiative, shows a flexible and entrepreneurial work ethic, and displays a solution-driven mind-set;
* You are able to independently set and pursue objectives and work in a structured, precise, and efficient manner with attention for detail. You can oversee processes and assure timely and in-full deliverables with a customer orientated approach.
* Strong communication skills who stands firm during price negotiations.
* Ability to see the strategic overview of the business as well as pay close attention to detail;
* Ability to break complex matters down for people of varying skillsets to understand;
* Ambitious personality with a high sense of ownership, hands-on mentality and strong analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure;
* Excellent interpersonal skills, you possess a positive team spirit and have the ability to work both independent and in a team,
* Excellent communicator across all levels of our organisation, both verbal and written.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial positions within an FMCG environment
* Understanding and knowledge on cocoa market would be a plus;
* You are fluent in English. Any other languages would be an advantage;
* Proficient computer skills (Office package - An advanced knowledge of Excel);
