About the Role
Currently, we are looking for an organized and dedicated individual to join our R&D team as a Development Engineer PLC Software (m/f/d) in Volketswil.
* Conceptualizing and creating PLC software within the framework of machine and module development, product maintenance, and customer projects in an interdisciplinary context, considering functional, safety, and time requirements
* Developing and testing machine/module prototypes
* Evaluating new technologies and methods
* Contributing to the design and implementation of processes and guidelines for PLC software development and documentation
* Supporting:
o Sales in reviewing and evaluating change requests
o Assembly in the development and training of commissioning procedures
o Hotline with 3rd level support cases
What You Need to Be Successful
* A technical degree (./.) in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
* Experience in a similar environment is an advantage — but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
* Familiarity with modular PLC software development (preferably using B&R Automation Studio) is a plus
* Knowledge of safety function design and implementation is a benefit
* A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently when needed
* Strong communication skills in German and English both spoken and written (required)
