Drive Product Sustainability and Compliance! Our client, an innovative industrial group based in Hinwil (Zurich), is strengthening its Group Sustainability and Product Compliance Team and looking for an experienced Product Compliance Expert. This exciting 12-month contract offers the opportunity to ensure that products and processes meet key environmental and material compliance standards while contributing to the organisation’s sustainability and regulatory excellence. Product Compliance Expert
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of assigned product compliance profiles and regulations such as RoHS, REACH, SCIP, POP, Conflict Minerals, WEEE, and PFAS.
* Monitor and analyse evolving product-related regulations in material and environmental compliance, conduct impact assessments, implement compliance requirements, and prepare the necessary documentation.
* Support the Material Compliance category in radar, covering chemical legislation, substance restrictions, and EU REACH reporting.
* Act as the responsible contact for the Environmental Compliance category in radar and manage data and campaigns within the Source Intelligence system.
* Handle product compliance-related customer inquiries and support case resolution for assigned regulations.
* Contribute to defining, maintaining, and improving the Group Product Compliance framework, processes, templates, and guidelines.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent product compliance governance and transparent reporting across the organisation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, or Natural Sciences.
* 5–8 years of professional experience in Product or Material Compliance, ideally covering EU REACH, SCIP Reporting, and RoHS.
* 1–2 years of industry experience in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE).
* Strong technical and analytical skills with a high affinity for IT systems such as MS Office, SharePoint, and SAP.
* Experience with data management tools and databases, including Source Intelligence.
* Fluent or business proficient in English (C1–C2) and very good conversational skills in German (B2–C1).
