VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join our Data Science team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

As a Data Scientist at VF Corporation, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights. You’ll work on challenging problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive data-driven decision-making for all the functions and brands of VF Corporation.
We expect that youwill deliver unbeatable results whilst fulfilling the following aspects of the Data Scientistrole:
1. Develop predicting models in the area of DTC marketing.
2. Develop models in the area of supply and demand chain.
3. Monitor and maintain the already deployed models to ensure that the performances remain outstanding.
4. Present the results to our internal stakeholders.
5. Have a continuous dialogue with Data Engineers and DevOps to drive new development in the area of model productionalization.
Skills for Success
A successful Data Scientist will be able to bring his contribution in the whole Data Science development chain.
Starting from capturing the right request from the business stakeholders, talking with Data Engineers to retrieve the right data, developing the best model, and presenting the results to the Data Science management and to stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
6. Python Proficiency: demonstrated ability to write efficient, clean Python code for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
7. Data Science and Machine Learning: strong understanding of core ML concepts (clustering, classification, regression, dimensionality reduction).
8. Time Series Forecasting: extensive experience with time series forecasting methods (statistical, ML, and DL).
9. Deep Learning and Generative AI: knowledge of main neural network topologies for computer vision and natural language modeling (CNNs, RNNs, autoencoders, transformers, LLMs, diffusion models, RAG, etc.).
10. Hyperparameter Optimization: Familiarity with best practices (e.g., Bayesian optimization).
11. Statistical Analysis: Solid grasp of hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and statistical modeling.
12. Querying and DBs: Deep knowledge of SQL; familiarity with other languages is a plus.
13. Nice to have: knowledge of recommender systems.
Tools and Platforms:
14. Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
15. AWS Ecosystem: Experience with AWS services (e.g., Sagemaker, Redshift, Bedrock) is a plus.
16. Data Visualization: Familiarity withPowerBI or Tableau for presenting project results.
Soft Skills:
17. Adaptability: Ability to react swiftly to changes and adapt to evolving requirements.
18. Self-Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
19. Teamwork: Positive, proactive attitude toward collaboration.
20. Communication: Fluency in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
21. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
22. Experience in retail will be considered as a plus.
