* The Nutanix Channel Sales Engineer (SE) is a technical field position serving as a resource for the Technical Partner Community. The Channel SE enables partners to perform all functions of a Nutanix Systems Engineer, including running Proof of Concepts. You will report directly to the Channel SE Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Be a crucial member of the Channel SE team, helping Nutanix partners succeed with Nutanix portfolio and solutions.
2. Build long-term business relationships and be regarded as a trusted resource by Nutanix channel partners.
3. Collaborate with partners to identify prospective customers and assess product capabilities relevant to the technical sales process.
4. Create and deliver technical product presentations and training sessions to large groups of partners and customers.
5. Work with marketing and events teams to develop partner-facing go-to-market documents.
6. Coordinate with the Regional SE Manager and local field team to align pre- and post-sales activities with partners.
7. Plan, deliver, and manage demand generation campaigns with partners in collaboration with channel sales and marketing.
8. Participate in technical events such as conferences, meet-ups, and blogs with partners.
9. Invest in understanding new technologies to help partners adapt and integrate solutions effectively.
10. Continuously learn new skills and contribute to team and partner knowledge sharing, fostering growth.
11. Act as the technical evangelist for Nutanix products within channel partners.
12. Travel within the region up to 50%, possibly including trips to Austria.
About you:
* Fluent in German and English; proficiency in French is a plus.
* 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or reselling in a high-tech sales environment with a successful track record.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Good knowledge of virtualization and storage markets and design capabilities.
* Experience in selling servers, storage hardware, enterprise software, or networking.
* Ability to work closely with Channel Sales Managers to enable partners and meet business objectives.
* Skilled in motivating, training, and conducting seminars to exceed revenue targets.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Driven by a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude to reach targets.

* Infrastructure and platform observability
* Storage platforms – block, file, object storages
* VDI – Citrix, Horizon
* Hypervisor Experience: VMware ESXi, RH KVM
* Third-Party Backup: Veeam, HYCU, Rubrik, Cohesity (nice-to-haves)
* Networking & Security: Nutanix Networking & Security solutions, Cisco ACI, VMW NSX, or other SDN/NFV solutions
* Database Platforms: Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB; basic understanding of databases, queries, transaction logging, backup, and recovery.
