We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume a pivotal leadership role in the risk management domain. As our international business continues to grow, this individual will be responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive risk management strategies that ensure our organization's continued success.

The Head of Risk Management will collaborate closely with various teams to develop, implement, and maintain robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. This includes monitoring risks at both a corporate and portfolio level, promoting a culture of risk awareness, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
\
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of investment processes, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements. They will possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities
\

1. Develop and execute comprehensive risk management strategies
\
2. Collaborate with various teams to develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
\
3. Monitor and manage risks at both a corporate and portfolio level
\
4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
\
5. Provide guidance and training to the business on enterprise risk requirements
\
6. Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Error Reporting functions to mature the risk culture
\
7. Strategic Responsibility: Overall responsibility for the investment risk management approach in alignment with the Investment Strategy Office
\
8. Investment Risk Management and Compliance: Monitoring adherence to internal guidelines and client investment guidelines
\
9. Establish and enforce risk limits in line with the firm's risk appetite and investment guidelines
\
10. Apply appropriate risk metrics, including Value at Risk (VaR), tracking error, and concentration risks
\
11. Collaborate with portfolio managers to implement risk mitigation strategies
\
12. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
\
13. Review and approve new investment products and strategies from a risk perspective
\
14. Control Processes: Execution of pre- and post-trade investment controls
\
15. Regular review of portfolio holdings
\
16. Conducting stress tests and risk analyses required by regulations
\
17. Governance and Reporting
\
\
18. Membership in relevant risk committees with approval authority for investment frameworks and guidelines
\
19. Preparation of quarterly risk reports for executive management, board of directors, and relevant bodies
\
20. Independent direct reporting line to the board of directors on escalation-relevant topics
\
21. Participation in the annual regulatory audit in the risk area
\
22. Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

23. Regulatory Requirements:

24. FINMA-registered position with corresponding candidate profile review
\
25. Location and Language Skills:
\
26. Based in Switzerland
\
27. Excellent German and English language skills
\
28. Professional Experience:
\
29. Solid experience in investment risk management, portfolio analysis, or a related field, particularly in the areas of alternative investments and asset management in Switzerland
\
30. Education and Certifications:
\
31. Solid educational background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
\
32. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) or professional certifications (CFA, FRM, PRM) preferred
\
33. Technical Skills:
\
34. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in risk modeling and statistical analysis
\
35. Expertise in risk management tools and software, programming skills, especially in R (and/or Python)
\
36. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical audiences
\
