About the role
At YOTEL, our mission is to challenge the status quo – it’s our DNA. As the Chief Engineer for YOTEL Geneva Lake you will work closely with the General Manager of the hotel, and are responsible for providing a secure, comfortable, and safe environment for our guests and crew (what we call our team members).The Chief Engineer will serve as a key member of the hotel senior management team and have a major part in the people culture.
More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:
 * To manage the Engineering operations and provide the strategy and direction required to ensure that maintenance, asset management and that health and safety adheres to company and legal requirements.
 * Take an active role in ensuring the safety of all guests and team members throughout the hotel.
 * Maintain and put correct measures in place to ensure that the systems for the control of all Engineering tasks are in place.
 * To review regularly the service provided by the Engineering department with the General Manager and Hotel management teams and implement relevant changes so that lessons are learnt.
 * Ensure the hotel maintains the highest brand standard compliance and service delivery
The skills we are looking for are:
 * Previous experience in a managerial level role, preferably with 3-5 years as an Assistant Chief Engineer in a larger property or Chief Engineer of a similar size property
 * Hotel opening experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
 * Proven track record in leading and developing health & safety and preventative maintenance programmes.
