Senior Legal CounselFor our client, an independent investment manager based in Lausanne area, we are seeking for a (Senior) Legal Counsel to strengthen its team. Purpose of the RoleThe (Senior) Legal Counsel will provide legal and regulatory support for all business activities, working closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance. The position involves advising internal and external stakeholders, handling legal documentation and contracts, and supporting the firm's adherence to Swiss and EU regulations.The legal counsel will also act as a backup for the Head of Legal and Compliance and be directly involved in cross-functional collaboration with operations, compliance, and investment teams. Key ResponsibilitiesLegal & Regulatory AdvisoryProvide expert legal advice on all business and regulatory matters.Monitor Swiss and EU financial regulations; contribute to regulatory watch efforts.Support the Compliance team in regulatory analyses and interpretations.Contract Review & NegotiationDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements (including NDAs, hedge fund and investment-related contracts).Oversee junior legal staff when appropriate.Maintain contract templates and ensure proper document retention.Cross-Functional Collaboration & TechnologyCollaborate with operational and investment teams to streamline processes.Use digital tools to enhance efficiency in legal/regulatory workflows.Presentation & CommunicationPrepare clear and professional legal presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Confidently communicate with executives, clients, and regulators.Profile RequiredSwiss-qualified lawyer with at least 7 years' experience in a regulated legal environment (Swiss or EU law).Strong expertise in financial markets, investment structures, and regulatory frameworks.Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation.Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (primary working language); French is an asset.Strong user of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based legal tech tools.High alignment with company values.Interested?Please submit your full application (CV, work certificates and diplomas).Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.Many thanks for your kind understanding. jid73bc329afr jit0727afr
