1. Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of chemometric methods via NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy) and MIRS (mid-infrared spectroscopy).
2. Develop new chemometric and secondary methods (MS, XRF, etc.).
3. Support PhD, Master's, and other students with laboratory analytical methods related to current research projects and scientific work at Agroscope.
4. Contribute to and present work and research results; assist in authoring scientific publications.
5. Manage the chemometrics laboratory, including QA, traceability, and validation processes.
This makes you unique
1. Engineering or university degree in chemistry or a related field.
2. Experience in developing and validating analytical methods, with the ability to work autonomously and with precision in quantitative analysis.
3. Skills in data processing and statistics (PCA, PLS, clustering, etc.), with chemometrics experience as a plus.
4. Knowledge of chemical/physicochemical analysis techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, MS, spectrophotometry, etc.).
5. Proficiency in two official Swiss languages and English.
In a nutshell
The 'Feed Chemistry' Research Group provides analytical support for research projects and official feed inspections. The group develops and maintains effective, cutting-edge analytical methods, with laboratories accredited to ISO 17025 standards. The group also trains apprentice chemistry laboratory technicians.
