THE ROLE
We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a global life sciences company in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal support across global clinical development activities, with a focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements. The role involves close collaboration with senior management and internal stakeholders, as well as contributing to the daily legal operations of the life sciences business. Proficiency in English is essential for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements related to clinical development, including clinical trial agreements, Contract Research Organization (CRO) contracts, research collaborations, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts
2. Advise internal stakeholders on legal aspects of clinical research projects
3. Collaborate closely with the senior legal team and cross-functional partners to support day-to-day legal matters
4. Review scientific publications and stay informed about relevant industry developments and regulations governing clinical trials; ensure compliance with Swiss law
5. Oversee daily business operations, review manuscripts, provide legal input, and assist with other matters as necessary
YOUR PROFILE
6. Qualified lawyer with experience supporting and negotiating clinical trial operations and related agreements
7. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in the life sciences sector preferred, with prior experience either in-house or at a law firm
8. Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex legal documents
9. Excellent drafting and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
10. Fluent in English, both written and spoken
11. Highly organized, efficient, and diligent, with the ability to drive projects forward and meet established timelines
