Responsibilities
The plans and schedules maintenance activities for an airline, and the contracted maintenance organizations. The role ensures that all required inspections, repairs, modifications and maintenance tasks are completed on time while minimizing aircraft downtime and operational disruption
Monitor and schedule all the maintenance program tasks including out of phase tasks on aircraft, major assemblies and components on-wing (including the Airworthiness Directives and the non-mandatory Service Bulletins, as assessed by the Engineering)
Monitors the service life limited components
Monitors all modification and repairs embodiment i.e. Part 21 Approved Data
Assess the tasks deferral needs and proposal for approval
Monitor all Deferred Defect (including MEL’s, Operational Significant Defects and Passenger comfort defects) and ensure will be planned and performed within the set timeframe
Prepare the Work Packages (long term and short term) and submit them to the contracted maintenance organization for the accomplishment
Coordinate the contracted maintenance providers to ensure that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out on time and to an appropriate standard
Coordinates with logistics to guarantee parts availability for planned works
Review maintenance records and update the Technical Information System (AMOS)
Analyze maintenance performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and aircraft availability
Follow-up special programs plan (e.g. modification campaign, components)
Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Aircraft Maintenance Programme
Other tasks in support of the NPCA
Supervision of base maintenance events as Chair Airline technical representative (on request)
Supervise and coordinate activities performed by subcontracted CAMO organization, as required
Qualifications
Good knowledge of aircraft airworthiness standards
Knowledge of aviation regulation (Part‑M, Part CAMO and Part‑145)
Knowledge of an Airbus A320 family and strong technical background
Part‑66, B1 or B2 license on the aircraft type or similar type (is an asset)
Previous experience in a similar role
Good communication skills
Very good time management skills
Team player and ability to work under time/task pressure
Willingness to travel / act as representative for Base Maintenance events
Fluent in English language (German is an asset)
Good knowledge of technical information systems, (knowledge of AMOS is a plus)
Office-based with occasional travel
