You’ll lead the development from concept to production, with a strong focus on bmechanical integrity, manufacturability, and robust design principles /b. /ppbKey Responsibilities: /b /plipLead the bmechanical design /b of assemblies, fixtures, and cold plates, using Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) and applying Design for Excellence (DFX) principles.. /p /lilipPerform bdetailed tolerance analysis /b (GDT) and complete robust Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). /p /lilipCreate bproduction-ready CAD models and technical drawings /b using SolidWorks, ensuring effective revision control with PDM. /p /lilipManage prototyping and production with high-quality standards, ensuring designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. /p /lilipDevelop and validate mechanical reliability tests, including integration and structural integrity assessments. /p /lilipAnalyze experimental data to improve mechanical robustness and production yield. /p /lilipCollaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize assembly and fabrication processes. /p /lilipContribute to RD and innovation in precision mechanical integration and advanced assembly techniques. /p /lipbRequirements: /b /plipMSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related precision engineering field. /p /lilipbMinimum 5+ years of industry experience /b in bhigh-precision mechanical design /b and product development. /p /lilipbExpert-level CAD skills /b (SolidWorks preferred), with proven experience in bGDT and advanced tolerance stacking/analysis /b. /p /lilipbStrong expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). /b /p /lilipbStrong expertise in Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) /b /p /lilipUnderstanding of relevant industry standards and quality systems. /p /lilipFluent in English, with strong technical communication and problem-solving skills. /p /lilipExperience with metal joining techniques like brazing or advanced bonding is a strong plus. /p /lilipPrevious experience designing liquid-cooled cold plates or microfluidic devices is a strong plus. /p /lipbThis is a great fit if: /b /plipYou enjoy hands-on, high-precision bmechanical design, prototyping, and validation /b. /p /lilipYou have bexpert skills in CAD, technical drawings, and advanced tolerancing (GDT) /b. /p /lilipYou are passionate about bDesign for Manufacturing (DFM) /b and optimizing mechanical processes for production. /p /lilipYou like working in a fast-moving, collaborative startup environment. /p /lilipYou take ownership, thrive on technical challenges, and deliver high-quality, production-ready work. /p /lipbThis won’t be the right role if: /b /plipYou prefer theory over practical work. /p /lilipYou need strict, large-company processes. /p /lilipYou don’t want to work on-site in Lausanne. /p /lilipYou lack deep expertise or interest in precision mechanical design and tolerancing. /p /li
