Chaberton Professionals, Management Search division of Chaberton Partners, supports clients in the search and selection of middle and senior management profiles. Today the Group counts 230 experienced consultants and executive board members, working locally and internationally across our 12 different offices: Lugano, Zürich, Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Vienna, Milan, Rome, Padoue, Paris, Lyon and Marseille.

Talentia is a European provider of HR and Finance digital solutions, founded in 1988.
Its software covers payroll, talent management, HR administration, accounting, consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and performance management, mainly serving mid-sized companies in growth or transformation.

Present in about 30 countries with 450 employees,
including subsidiaries in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, the UK, and Canada, Talentia helps HR and Finance teams navigate complex transformations (M&A, international expansion, ESG, etc.). Its SaaS platform integrates automation and AI to ensure compliance, efficiency, and reliable data, with the goal of simplifying complexity.

Role Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing
Corporate Performance Management
(CPM) sales in the Swiss German market, primarily targeting companies not yet equipped with CPM or currently using competing solutions.

He/She will manage the entire sales cycle, in coordination with solution experts (pre-sales), the local marketing team, and corporate teams, while collaborating with the European CPM sales network.

Key responsibilities include:

* Prospecting and qualifying new accounts in the Swiss German region
* Identifying the needs of finance departments and building trusted advisory relationships
* Managing end-to-end sales cycles (3 to 6 months), from initial contact to contract signing
* Coordinating internal and external stakeholders throughout the process
* Working closely with marketing to refine messaging and enhance commercial approaches
* Contributing to the European commercial development strategy led by the CPM BU

Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience

* Degree from a top business school or university
* Fluent in German and English; French is a plus
* Ideally 10–15 years of professional experience
* Proven track record in prospecting and selling software (ideally SaaS) within a software vendor, systems integrator, or consulting firm (IT services or consultancy)
* Familiarity with finance-related topics, especially consolidation, is an asset

Key Skills & Attributes

* Strong prospecting ability and appetite for new business development ("hunter" mindset)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives (CFOs, Controllers, Heads of Consolidation)
* Rigorous management of complex sales cycles, with strong persuasion and negotiation skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (pre-sales, marketing, consulting)
* Autonomy, reliability, initiative
* Curiosity, intellectual agility, and strong analytical skills
