Business Insight Intern (80–100%)
McDonald's, the world's largest restaurant chain, is an innovative and people‑oriented company backed by a leading multinational brand. Currently, there are 189 McDonald's restaurants in Switzerland, run by 46 independent entrepreneurs (franchisees). Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants.
At McDonald's Switzerland, Strategy & Insights plays a central role in transforming data and market intelligence into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making and business performance. We are looking to fill the role of Business Insight Intern (80‑100%) in our Strategy & Insights department based in Crissier. This internship is for 12 months, starting on April 1, 2026 (or as agreed).
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation, monitoring, and analysis of weekly and monthly reports on sales, product mix, and promotions
* Updating and preparing PowerPoint presentations for the monthly performance review presented to the Executive Committee
* Ad hoc analyses on our BI platform
* Monitoring KPIs for the McDonald's app and conducting ad hoc analyses as required
* Creation, review, management, and regular updating of the Item database
* Monitoring competitors' developments, including their promotional activities and the growth of their restaurant networks
Profile
* You are studying economics and management or have completed your studies in this field
* Reliable, diligent, and able to multitask while remaining well organized; you can prioritize your work according to different deadlines and coordinate your tasks with those of your team
* Able to take responsibility and work independently; you are flexible and proactive
* You have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working with numbers. You have an excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint and are eager to further develop your skills with these tools
* You have very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written; German is an asset
* Recognized as a serious individual, you are naturally curious and open‑minded, enjoy helping others, and like working as part of a team
* You are not afraid of challenges and appreciate dynamic work environments
