Project Regulatory Manager
Responsible for ensuring adherence to global regulatory requirements and promoting regulatory discipline within SBM Projects and GRS Offices worldwide. Leads and supports a team of Project Regulatory Engineers, Site Engineers and Inspectors, working closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners to implement regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Define, interpret, verify, and coordinate interfaces between legislation/regulators, client, and project team.
Identify all applicable legislation, regulations, and rules to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and monitor timely implementation of regulatory requirements during all project phases.
Raise awareness of regulatory requirements among key personnel within the project team.
Identify regulatory training requirements for the project team.
Follow the Regulatory Query process in line with GEMS, using appropriate communication protocols.
Prepare regulatory handover packages for the operations team.
Liaise with contractor regulatory objectives and support overall development goals of the project.
Systematically track assigned actions and verify completion of all regulatory management tasks.
Manage reviews, findings, surveys, and audits required as part of the applicable regulatory acceptance processes.
Report the status of regulatory management activities throughout the EPCI cycle.
Produce FPSO Regulatory Management Plan and develop a framework to ensure all relevant rules and regulations are identified and incorporated when appropriate.
Provide all necessary answers, evidence, and updates to the company for management and report on progress of closure for associated contractor actions.
Ensure regulatory certificates and deliverables issued during design, construction, and delivery phases meet the requirements of the project.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering.
Experience
10 years experience in the offshore industry.
Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
