At Roche, we are committed to improving lives through innovation in diagnostics. Our PCR Hardware Development department, including the Instrument Product Care team, ensures the lifecycle maintenance and optimization of complex diagnostic systems used for nucleic acid purification, PCR, and sequencing.


Your Role

As Project Manager, you will lead technical product care initiatives for hardware instruments, working in a global, cross-functional environment. You’ll manage projects that maintain and enhance integrated hardware, software, and consumables, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and Roche quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead technical projects for instrument hardware lifecycle management
* Plan and allocate resources, manage budgets, and control project progress
* Define and maintain technical specifications and approve design changes
* Oversee verification, testing, and delivery of hardware units
* Manage risks and participate in product risk assessments
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external engineering partners
* Ensure efficient communication with global teams (Europe, USA, Asia)


What You Bring

* Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related life sciences field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in technical project management
* Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and regulated environments
* Experience in laboratory diagnostics and/or hardware/software support
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Fluent in English (German is a strong asset)
* Willingness to travel and work with American stakeholders
