Our client, a leading international player in the consumer goods industry with modern offices in the Zurich area, is looking for a Global Account Manager (m/f/d) to start immediately in a temporary assignment for the next 6-8 months.
Depending on motivation and performance, there might be an opportunity for extension.
Description
The Global Account Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing retailer inventory and orders, and leading new product introductions, by carrying out the following tasks:
1. Achieving sales targets with retailers across all regions and product lines.
2. Monitoring and managing retailer inventory levels and orders to ensure accurate sales data.
3. Leading the new product introduction process, coordinating with marketing, commercial, and pricing teams to ensure timely product listings. Consolidating new products by region and aligning delisting strategies for key items.
4. Maintaining strong collaboration and communication internally and with retailers.
5. Partnering with internal teams to identify and accelerate commercial opportunities.
6. Liaising with customer service to enhance operational efficiency and support corporate projects.
7. Working closely with regional commercial teams to oversee upcoming commercial and promotional offers.
8. Consolidating, tracking, and updating trade marketing calendars for global accounts, collaborating with regional leads and brand teams.
9. Generating monthly reports, conducting data analysis, and updating account dashboards for automation and improvement.
10. Supporting the global client management team during major forums such as Top-to-Top meetings, trade marketing meetings, and negotiations.
11. Driving joint business planning with key account leaders.
Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in account management within a global or regional context, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
3. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (data analysis, dashboards).
4. Experience with SAP and CRM tools.
5. Strong English skills (verbal and written).
6. French language skills are an advantage.
7. The ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Strategic thinking and the ability to drive commercial activities and identify new opportunities.
