Job Purpose
The Spa Planning & Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in aligning with the company's strategy to ensure timely availability of stock in onboard spas, thereby satisfying customer demand and significantly improving onboard revenue.
Key Accountabilities
* Analyse sales data and place purchase orders for consumable, retail, and small equipment items based on agreed item life cycles.
* Ensure that stock needs onboard each ship are met in terms of quality, quantity, time, and location relevant to the ship and its area of operation.
* Liaise with suppliers, accounting, and ships to enhance supply chain processes and avoid invoicing issues.
* Ensure that stock levels are in line with sell-through, projected customer demand, and consumption levels at all times, and proactively propose corrective actions if needed.
* Inform the Spa Purchasing Manager and Head of Spa of stock excess, slow movers, and obsoletes.
* Inform ships about upcoming deliveries in line with communication guidelines.
* Follow up delivery from provider to Ship.
* Ensure agencies have provided customs documents for delivery.
* Solve incidents of loading and price verification with the ship and the provider.
* Create articles into the system using correct data from supplier, and ensure that missing or incorrect data is actively corrected.
* Organize and coordinate stock transfers, landing manifests, and returns to vendors.
* Set prices on system.
* Ensure correct administration of all data in the database.
Qualifications (Skills, Competencies, Experience)
* Fluent English; Italian is a plus.
* Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or similar.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of most common Business Intelligence packages is an advantage.
