Regional Sales Manager Europe Excitation & Hydropower

This position reports to
Business Manager - E2E

Main accountability is to lead and implement an effective excitation and hydropower sales strategy and organization within Europe, and for the specified export portfolio to other regions. You will enhance ABB’s market presence and help realize our growth aspirations for products, solutions, and services.

Responsibilities

* Define and achieve sales targets, establish metrics, monitor performance across the region; facilitate early market engagement: identify opportunities, develop plans, negotiate contracts.
* Collect customer feedback for high satisfaction and translate insights into portfolio and business improvements; anticipate shortfalls and implement corrective actions.
* Align and coach internal and external sales and project organizations across Europe, develop and implement efficient sales processes, tools, and team development programs.
* Manage pricing strategy with Product Management; support sales volume, mix targets, and profitability; identify and manage financial, contractual, and operational risks and ensure compliance.
* Lead sales team across Europe to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.

Qualifications

* Minimum 15 years international sales or business management experience, extensive leadership in Power Generation Industry.
* Skilled in navigating international markets, forging lasting strategic relationships in energy and power generation.
* Solid technical background enabling tailored, integrated solutions for clients.
* Experience with system projects including solution supply, erection, installation, and mitigation strategies.
* Demonstrated capability in defining and executing sales strategies, annual planning, and pipeline development.
* Experience monitoring financial risk and ensuring robust mitigation strategies across diverse customer portfolios.
* Ability to build, mentor, and lead effective, customer-focused sales teams.
