About the Role
The R&D Associate Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting factories worldwide in the development of innovative and challenging research projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing performance, developing new automations, running feasibility studies, and leading product and technology development projects.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct in-depth analysis of current state-of-the-art in 2D and 3D simulation of transformers.
* Analyze the performance of different parameters of dry transformers using 2D and 3D electromagnetic FEM calculations.
* Develop new automations for product assessment through electromagnetic simulations coupled with structural, thermomechanical, and acoustic simulations.
* Run feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performances.
* Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products.
* Lead product and technology development projects in dry, traction, and oil distribution transformers, delivering results on time and quality.
* Support transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering department by writing design rules, preparing trainings, and collaborating with design tools team.
* Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
Requirements
* MSc in Electrical Engineering field.
* Existing work experience in Electrical Engineering with focus on transformer design.
* Advanced knowledge of transformer design and prediction of relevant performance.
* Experience in finite element analysis and use of software such as ANSYS Maxwell.
* Knowledge of programming languages Python, Matlab, or C#.
* Experience in electric testing of transformers.
* Project management skills.
* Innovation spirit and willingness to travel.
