The FIA is looking for a Head of Workplace and Staff H&S to oversee Staff Health & Safety and to oversee facility-related processes and standards across all FIA locations (Switzerland, France, UK).

This is a pivotal role that offers you the opportunity to shape and embed best-in-class Health & Safety practices within a dynamic international federation, while ensuring the facilities remain safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coordinate Health & Safety and facility topics and contracts across FIA sites, ensuring consistency and compliance with local and international regulations.
* Provide strategic direction and support to local operational teams; delegate day-to-day activities to local focal points where applicable.
* Lead cross-functional alignment with HR, Legal, Sport and Mobility divisions for all workplace and safety-related matters.
* Lead contractual discussions and manage relationships with facility-related service providers (cleaning, maintenance, PPE, printers, etc.).
* Coordinate procurement processes for H&S and facility needs, ensuring alignment with internal policies and budget constraints.
* Liaise with external contractors during works or interventions to ensure compliance, timelines and quality standards.
* Represent the FIA in discussions with building management, landlords and relevant third parties when required.

Health & Safety (Global)

* Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the FIA’s Health & Safety strategy across all locations (France, UK, Switzerland).
* Ensure compliance with national and international H&S regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
* Develop and deliver awareness, training and communication initiatives on H&S topics.
* Partner with relevant departments to ensure FIA employees follow appropriate practices and processes when traveling, fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration.
* Act as the main advisor on H&S matters for all levels of the organisation.
* Monitor incidents, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective measures.
* Support FIA events and activities to ensure health and safety (H&S) standards are met and lead the Crisis Management Team as needed.

Facility Management (Geneva)

* Based in Geneva, ensure oversight of facility-related standards and service quality at the Geneva office and the Presidential apartment (in the President’s absence), in collaboration with local operational staff and support teams.

Sustainability (Workplace & Operations)

* Act as the internal liaison for workplace-related sustainability initiatives (e.g. energy efficiency, waste management, responsible procurement).
* Monitor and report on sustainability metrics linked to office operations.
* Partner with the Sustainability team to align on corporate goals and integrate best practices in facility operations and health & safety processes.
* Promote environmentally responsible behaviours and support awareness campaigns internally.

PROFILE:

* University degree in a relevant field such as Health & Safety is highly valued, or equivalent professional certifications
* Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in Health & Safety management and/or facility operations, ideally in an international or multi-site environment.
* Good understanding of Swiss & European regulations and international H&S standards.
* Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); any additional language is a plus.
* Strong organisational skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels, including senior leadership.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
