As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team you will guide senior stakeholders to modernize complex system landscapes, build scalable cloud data platforms, and design integrated solutions that drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead Enterprise Data Architecture design: modernize multi‑solution landscapes (MDM, CRM, ERP, cloud DWH) and enforce architecture standards.
* Lead Cloud Data Platform design & implementation: design data modelling, integration pipelines, DevOps, and AI‑powered operations.
* Architect Integrated Solutions: build integrations between cloud platforms, AI/Gen AI, and enterprise systems.
* Strengthen market positioning: represent architecture expertise at events, conferences, and client discussions.
* Develop internal know‑how: mentor junior members and set strategic focus for Swiss and near‑shore teams.
Qualifications
* 4+ years of Data Architect experience, leading teams on complex cloud ecosystems.
* Hands‑on data platform implementation as a data engineer (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake).
* Experience influencing strategic decisions and guiding engineers on coding best practices (SonarQube, AI assistants).
* Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and graph data models.
* Nice to have: packaging solutions into Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
* Leadership, commercial acumen, and strong client‑facing communication skills.
* Strong team leadership and ability to partner with externals.
Technical Expertise
* Data modelling: conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional modelling, Data Vault, and schema design.
* Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks; experience with Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, event‑driven design.
* GenAI capabilities to optimize delivery and operation.
* Data integration & ETL: architecture for multiple sources; familiarity with Informatica or DBT is a plus.
* Metadata & event‑driven architecture: capture and leverage metadata for monitoring and alerts.
* Enterprise architecture: integrating MDM with data platforms and extending with AI components.
* Programming and data formats: review engineering work in SQL, Python, Spark; knowledge of Parquet, Iceberg.
