Reporting directly to the Planning & Purchasing Senior Manager Accessories, the Purchasing Intern will insert, update and maintain accurate data on computer systems and in archives, working closely to Accessories & Footwear product developers.

The Purchasing Intern will be also in charge of PO issuing and data/systems and files update to enable the company to operate.



CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Insert product and account data by inputting text based numerical and graphic information from source documents within time limits
* Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
* Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibility if possible and check output
* Apply data program techniques and procedures
* Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
* Purchase Order (PO) scheduling and issuing for samples (SMS), Passback and bulk production
* PO Follow-up ensuring a high on-time performance is fully met

Requirements

* High School Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field
* Well organized, self-motivated and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment
* Excellent execution, high respect of deadlines and good level of proactivity
* High results orientation and bias toward action
* Capability of adapt to changes and work under pressure
* Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail. Excellent analytical and time management skills
* Capability to work under strict, short deadlines
* Positive attitude, team player, ability to work independently and customer oriented
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
* Ability to work cross-functionally across various business units
* Familiarity with vendor management and negotiation
* Fluent written and spoken English is required for this role. Any further language will be considered as a plus
* MS Office package (Excel knowledge is mandatory). Knowledge of AS400, and Business intelligence tools is appreciated
