Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business across Europe, we are currently recruiting for an experienced bElectricalConstructionProjectManager /b to join our Data Centre team. /p pIn this role, you will oversee the pre‑construction, construction, commissioning, and close‑out phases of a hyperscale, state of the art data center project for a global technology client onsite. /p pWith a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high‑profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner Townsend. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead and manage the electrical pre‑construction activities, including constructability in design, procurement and contracts, project planning, budget planning is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. /li liLead and manage the electrical construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. /li liOversee electrical system installations, including substation, transformers, switchrooms, MV LV, life safety and all electrical associated systems. /li liEnsure that the electrical designs are aligned with the overall design intent and client expectations, managing any issues that arise during construction. /li /ul h3Pre‑Construction Phase Oversight /h3 ul liOversee and assist the design team in constructability and localization in the design focusing mainly on the electrical systems but assist and collaboration with other disciplines. /li liEnsure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols are adhered to. /li liProvide technical guidance on electrical system installations, ensuring that contract documents and specifications are relevant to the region. /li liPlay a pivotal role in the procurement of contractors and vendor. /li /ul h3Construction Phase Oversight /h3 ul liManage and supervise electrical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring that work is completed to specification and safety standards. /li liFull‑time on‑site presence to conduct inspections and supervise construction activities. /li liEnsure construction activities are in full compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols. /li liProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting on electrical system installations, ensuring that all work is completed as per the contract documents and specifications. /li liManage health and safety on site. /li liOversee the commissioning process of electrical systems to ensure all systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria. /li liLead the electrical system testing and commissioning process, ensuring all relevant documentation (test reports, as‑built, OM manuals) are accurate and handed over to the client. /li liAssist in the final project closeout and ensure the electrical systems are handed over seamlessly to the client. /li /ul h3Owner’s Representation /h3 ul liAct as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team for electrical‑related issues. /li liProvide advice and recommendations to the client, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle. /li liProactively identify and manage risks related to electrical systems and recommend mitigation strategies. /li /ul h3Quality Control Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure all electrical work adheres to quality standards and local regulations. /li liReview and approve subcontractor invoices and work schedules. /liliConduct site safety audits and ensure that work is being performed in compliance with all health and safety standards. /li /ul h3Budget Schedule Management /h3 ul liMonitor and report on the progress of electrical work against the project schedule and budget. /li liTrack project costs, identifying and addressing cost overruns or delays. /li liEnsure that changes in scope are managed efficiently, with appropriate documentation and approval processes in place. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liA Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
