We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Pre-Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong blend of technical and strategic expertise, combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
With a solid understanding of software solutions and emerging technologies, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team, engaging with potential clients, and demonstrating the value of our products. Your contributions will be essential in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our company.
In a nutshell
* You have 5 to 10 years of experience in a presales or technical consulting role, with a background in consulting, Big 4 firms, or software vendors.
* You have previous experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and BI software.
* You have strong communication and public speaking skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead the technical aspects of the sales process, from product presentations and solution demonstrations to deployment and ongoing support.
* Conduct POCs and oversee onboarding processes for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of our products.
* Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to streamline the sales process and enhance customer relationships.
* Provide training and demonstrations to possible clients, either on-site or remotely, to ensure they are well-equipped to utilize our solutions.
* Develop and refine technical documentation, presentations, training materials, and case studies to support sales efforts.
* Contribute to the creation and improvement of standardized solutions and localized documentation.
* Offer technical support for customizations, integrations, and new feature development as needed.
* Collaborate with the technical support team to provide second-layer support when necessary.
Requirements
* Master’s degree in Engineering Management preferred; a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Economics is also acceptable.
* 5 to 10 years of experience in a Pre-Sales or Technical Consulting role.
* Background in consulting, Big 4, or software vendors.
* Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
* Understanding of business functional processes in planning, data management, and business intelligence.
* Advanced ability to work with cutting-edge technologies.
* Knowledge of the software industry and emerging technologies is mandatory.
* Basic knowledge of finance and operations principles.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Willingness to travel.
* Fluent in English. Proficiency in German will be regarded as a preferential qualification.
