Reporting to the VP, Finance, this role will lead finance activities for commercial and streaming arrangements and work closely with and support global Commercial, Treasury, Tax and Finance teams. Major responsibilities include external and internal financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, cash flow projections and maintaining effective controls and compliance. The Director, Finance will be a senior role within the Global Finance team and will contribute to strategic thinking and decision making but will also be hands-on in reviewing and preparing deliverables.Key Responsibilities:Set up of Finance Function in Geneva:Manage the transition of existing accounting and reporting processes from other countries related to metal concentrate sales and streaming.Design processes and reporting for month-end and quarter-end close.Design and implement appropriate controls over accounting and financial reporting.Accounting and ReportingManage preparation of monthly and quarterly financial information and working capital analyses to support preparation of internal reporting by mine sites and consolidated financial statements.Oversee accounting policies and matters in relevant areas, notably revenue recognition, inter-company transactions, provisional pricing adjustments and financial instruments.Advise the Commercial team on accounting impacts of commercial contracts.Assist with the preparation of reporting for the Executive team and Board of Directors.Manage deliverables for quarterly reviews and year-end audits with external auditors.Oversee local accounting, vendor payables and expenses and general office management.Strategic Planning and Operational SupportPartner with global Commercial & Finance teams to provide strategic financial perspective, and coordinate budgets and forecasts for commercial and streamlining activities.Manage reporting and execution of metal deliveries under streaming commitments.Provide cashflow projections and monitor cash availability.Manage local treasury activities under the direction of the Corporate Treasury and Tax teams, including cash management, financial investments, FX strategy, inter-company transactions and management fees.Maintain relationships with the Company’s business partners for streaming activities.Oversee annual renewals and day-to-day matters relating to marine insurance policies.Finance Department Management and ComplianceEnsure financial activities are performed in compliance with related financial rules and laws. Manage required statutory filings in conjunction with the Corporate Tax team.Mentor one direct report and oversee this individual’s professional development.Manage financial reporting tools and systems, notably SAP S/4 HANA.Identify and lead process improvements to support operational efficiency.What You Bring:10+ years of progressive work experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry experience and experience managing finance professionals.Proficiency in English and French is required; Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.Experience with statutory accounting and tax requirements for Geneva-based companies.Experience with mining or metal concentrate sales is preferred but not required.Knowledge of public company reporting requirements, with advanced knowledge of IFRS.Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and Mineman is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.Excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills, with the ability to interact with different groups and levels within the organization.Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.Ability to travel as needed to Vancouver, Canada or operating sites.
