We’re looking for a Head of Technical Services to leadour global expert team and technical centers in developingsolutions for the construction industry, specifically in Paints& Coatings, Adhesives & Sealants and Cementitiousmaterials. The role oversees customer service levels, technicalsupport to sales, product validation, and the successful transferof proofs of concept into commercial launches. You will work at theintersection of materials science and application excellence,shaping how the industry uses Omya’s mineral products forperformance and sustainability. Lead a global team, set thebenchmark for technical service, and help deliver impactfulsolutions for our customers. Responsibilities - Set the TechnicalServices strategy and service model, ensuring strong regionalcoverage with modern technical centers and field teams. - Overseefield trials, customer validations, and scale‐up to commercialreadiness. - Implement solid investigation and resolutionprocesses, speeding up issue closure and improving root‐causelearning. - Drive continuous improvement across all technicalcenter operations. - Develop structured product and applicationtraining for Sales and partners, including demos. - Translatecustomer needs into product requirements and manage customerqualification for new products with cross‐functional teams. -Collaborate with Manufacturing and QA on go‐to‐market and launchactivities. - Represent Omya in industry forums and key events. -Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse global team with strongknowledge sharing and performance accountability. Requirements -Degree in Chemistry or Chemical/Materials/Civil Engineering; Advanced degree preferred. - 8–10+ years in technicalservice/application technology for paints & coatings is a Must; Adhesives, sealants, or cementitious materials is a plus. - Provenability to lead international expert teams. - Demonstrated successworking with Sales, Product/Portfolio, Manufacturing, and Qualityto commercialize new solutions. - Strong communicator, effective ininternational and intercultural environments. - Proven skills indriving change. - Excellent German and English (spoken andwritten); additional languages beneficial. - Willingness forfrequent international business travel.
