The roleWe are seeking a dynamic Principal Digital IC Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced MCU subsystems, hardware accelerators, and peripheral interfaces. In this hands‑on technical leadership role, you will architect and benchmark next‑generation designs, guide product teams through integration, and mentor engineers to elevate the team’s technical capabilities.
Responsibilities
Architect, specify, implement, simulate, and benchmark MCU and DSP systems
Develop hardware accelerators and interface peripherals
Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive design reviews
Lead project activities and contribute to methodology and flow improvements
Guide product and integration teams on system definition and hardware–software integration
Participate in verification, validation, and FPGA prototyping
Coordinate SDK and toolchain development with the software team
Qualifications
Minimum MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
At least 10 years of relevant work experience in semiconductor product development including engineering leadership
Experience with embedded CPUs (e.g. ARM Cortex, DSP), AMBA bus protocols (AHB/APB)
RTL design of digital IP blocks and systems in Verilog/SystemVerilog
Technical document writing
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Eligibility to work in Switzerland
What Else You May Bring
Project or task leadership in crossfunctional environments
Design of CPU/MCU subsystems, use of SystemRDL, or IPXACT–based flows
Understanding of design intent (timing constraints/SDC, power intent/UPF)
Programming skills in Python for automation and C/C++ for embedded software
Development of signal‑processing components
Exposure to RTL‑to‑GDS flows: synthesis, place and route, STA, and power analysis
Familiarity with advanced digital verification methodologies (e.g., UVM)
