Overview
Handwritten Collection will open Hotel Aeschi Park in Aeschi bei Speiz, Switzerland. The 40-bedroom hotel will include bar, restaurant and leisure facilities. We are seeking an exceptional, experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the pre-opening phase, the hotel opening and the market positioning of this unique hotel.
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to shape a hotel within our Handwritten Collection, defined by a genuinely human approach to hospitality. As a driven and open-minded leader, you will embrace creativity and change, positioning the hotel as the preferred address in its market. Your initial focus will be to support the General Manager with the pre-opening phase, laying strategic and operational foundations for long-term success. You will help establish a strong market presence, define the hotel’s positioning, and support in the following areas:
Guest experience delivery aligned with the hotel’s identity and Handwritten Collection brand
Execution of brand initiatives within front office operations
Front office team engagement, motivation and service culture leadership
Seamless front desk operations and consistently high service quality
Rooms focus with proactive upselling and seasonal offer awareness
Contribution to departmental performance targets and front office revenue growth
Qualifications
Completion of training as a hotel specialist; a degree or background in hospitality, tourism or related field is preferred
Extensive professional experience, including working in a reception department
Fluent in German and English; any other language skills are a benefit
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A guest-centric approach
Knowledge of the local market is beneficial
Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office; experience with hotel management software is a plus (Oracle, Opera Cloud, etc.)
Eligible to fulfill the requirements for a work permit in Switzerland
