Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines Supply Chain Global Planning is recruiting for a Senior Manager Site Planning located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. This senior leadership role reports to the Director of Site Planning and focuses on ensuring reliable product availability through effective production planning and scheduling across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of planners responsible for plant planning activities and produce realistic supply plans for clinical and commercial programs.
* Partner across functions to drive capacity trade‑offs, manage new product introductions, and support decision‑making for asset/product levels during Supply Review Meetings.
* Create, develop, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer requirements and inventory targets while supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
* Identify constraints or potential issues and develop resolutions, simulations, reports, and presentations for management.
* Ensure site adherence to the Monthly Planning Process and provide input to the Integrated Business Process (IBP).
* Provide site inventory projections, analyze actuals versus projections, and identify inventory‑management opportunities to improve profitability.
* Own the Short‑Term Exception Management (STEM) process and drive continuous improvement of site planning processes.
* Collaborate with End‑to‑End (E2E) Planning and other key functions to understand, assess and respond to evolving market opportunities.
* Maintain accurate planning parameters within relevant systems and ensure data integrity.
* Develop and coach team members, fostering modern supply‑chain capabilities and meeting performance metrics such as OTIF, schedule attainment, and inventory/SLOB targets.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, supply‑chain management or related field (advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred).
* 8+ years of supply‑chain experience, including manufacturing, logistics, and planning, with people‑management experience desirable.
* Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, regulatory‑dependent sector preferred.
* Strong written and oral communication skills (English required, German desirable).
* Supply‑chain planning experience in a multi‑-echelon environment; ability to work across organizational boundaries in a global setting.
* Required SAP experience; APICS/LEAN certifications preferred.
* Ability to develop and coach a team, lead multiple initiatives, and communicate complex scenarios to senior leadership.
* Strong analytical, quantitative, and business‑financial acumen; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
