Marketing Director (m/f/d)
For our client, active in BtoC (via direct sales) and BtoB (office), we are currently looking for a Marketing Director for the Swiss market (with French and German, both at a fluent level). This is a new role within the organization.
YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the Swiss Managing Director, you will have to build and lead the Marketing Department, develop and execute marketing strategy, develop a strong brand presence and increase awareness in Switzerland, optimize digital performance. As part of the local Leadership Team, you will contribute to reaching Revenue and Profit objectives
YOUR MISSIONS:
Develop and execute marketing strategy and roadmap
* Design and execute marketing strategies aligned with business goals
* Partner with Manager Director and cross functional teams including sales, product development and operations to execute integrated marketing strategies
* Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that align to both the country’s needs as well as global strategies and brand vision
* Ensure all ongoing brand/company integrations are executed on time and within budget
Ensure / establish a strong brand presence in Switzerland
* Guide innovative strategies to boost brand recognition and digital performance
* Define unique value proposition, show how product functionality aligns with consumer needs and benefits, fostering compelling storytelling
* Become the voice of the consumer/ customer, representing them in all business initiatives and experiences both internally and externally (partnering with communications, internal stakeholders and NPS champions)
* Develop, coordinate and support PR, Events, Showrooms, Activations & Partnership management
Own and manage marketing budget
* Develop, manage, and optimize marketing budget to ensure cost-effective campaigns that deliver a strong return on investment (ROI)
* Ensure appropriate performance metrics are in place, tracked and used to drive decisions (e.g. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing activities, continuously track performance, adjust strategies as necessary, based on data insights)
* Manage agencies and external partners
* Work collaborative with EMEA and Center of Excellence team to drive efficiencies and optimizations in systems, processes, partners and tools
Ensure link between overall marketing strategy and digital strategies to improve performance
* Oversee all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns
* Lead brand strategy to define consumer journeys for different categories and establish a tailored messaging hierarchy that seamlessly aligns with the consumer's journey and specific target segments
* Create strategies that help teams generate higher quality leads leveraging storytelling, product USP and appropriate marketing mix
* Connect trends, consumer insights, product and needs to define disruptive strategies that generate conversation and awareness
* Ensure appropriate risk management and mitigation guidelines are implemented and adhered to (e.g. GDPR)
Drive product portfolio management and innovation in Switzerland
* Conduct market analysis and consumer research to identify opportunities, track trends, and gather competitive intelligence to inform strategy
* Work closely with product teams to develop and communicate value propositions, MVP’s, positioning and go-to market plans for new product launches
* Adapt and localize product launches as needed, working closely with EMEA marketing and product teams
Drive content creation and social / influencer strategy¨
* Guide innovation strategies to boost brand recognition and engagement on social channels
* Guide the creation of compelling and relevant content for various channels (web, blog, video, social media, etc.) to target audience
Build and Lead an A-Player Team
* Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability
* Ensure succession plan in place for key roles
* Collaborate with regional/global teams to ensure best practice is implemented in Switzerland. Both sharing and implementing based on cross-region learnings
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
* 5 to 10 years of relevant experience driving marketing strategies at a Swiss level ideally for a BtoB and BtoC environment
* Expertise in Branding
* Experience in working with different sales channels ideally within direct sales
* Experience in driving a digital strategy
* Experience in managing a marketing team
