The Role
We are looking for a Senior Power Portfolio Manager to join our Swiss desk. This role emphasizes strategic portfolio management and structured risk optimization, focusing on medium to long‑term power contracts and cross‑border portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead portfolio strategy and structured trading initiatives in Swiss and Central European power markets.
* Develop and price hedging strategies for corporates and utilities, including PPAs and CfDs.
* Monitor and manage portfolio risk, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market regulations.
* Collaborate closely with origination, risk, and legal teams on contract structuring and execution.
* Support strategic decision‑making, leveraging market insights and forecasting models.
* Mentor junior traders and contribute to the desk’s long‑term strategy and innovation.
Required Experience
* 8+ years of experience in structured power trading or commercial energy trading in European markets.
* Deep knowledge of forward, intraday, and balancing markets, with experience in structured products.
* Demonstrated success in portfolio and P&L management.
* Strong quantitative and modeling skills (Python, Excel, VBA) and risk management experience.
* Excellent cross‑cultural communication and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
