System Architect Optics YOUR MAIN TASKS: Definition and System architecture of optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications
Lead of technical definition, architecture, and roadmap of advanced optical systems for consumer products (multifunctional observation devices)
Lead system-level integration activities, mainly balancing optical, mechanical requirements
Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software)
Serve as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle and serialization
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies
YOUR PROFILE: Master Degree in Physics, Optics or related field (ETH or equivalent, University of Applied Sciences)
At least 3 years' proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, particularly for consumer products
Proven experience in optical design of imaging systems (preferably visual optics), knowledge of laser range finder is a plus
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across project phases
Strong team spirit as well as excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in development methods and system engineering tools
Fluency in German and English
