Responsibilities:
You will be monitoring MPLS/BGP/Fabric backbone with NMS tools, troubleshooting alarms, and performing RCA on routing and transport issues.
The role includes participation in a structured on-call rotation, resolving customer tickets (routing leaks, MPLS TE failures, DDoS events), and escalating with upstream peers as needed.
You’ll be designing and implementing L2/L3 solutions (VRFs, VXLAN/EVPN, routing policies), and supporting migrations to a standardised Fabric network.
One of your responsibilities will include managing Fortinet VPN/firewall rules for DC access and supporting fabric-based DC interconnect deployments.
You will work with Sales/Account teams on customer technical needs, deliver solutions in German (C2), document configs and share knowledge internally.
Required Skills & Experience:
Cisco network engineering skills (MPLS, BGP, ISP-level backbone).
5+ years’ experience in IP networking (IP/MPLS)
ISP experience is ideal, but also open to candidates from large enterprise networks with relevant exposure.
Comfortable with DC infrastructure & fabric networks (vendor-agnostic).
C2 German Speaking
Salary:
Up to 130,000 Swiss Francs per year
