About us:
Based in Fribourg, our client supports other business units by providing them with technical and logistical equipment essential to their activities.
As part of an organizational transformation, our client is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting a product data management and administrative support associate. This person will play a key role in processing and monitoring product information, in coordination with the technical and IT teams.
Your responsibilities:
• Create, update, and maintain master data in the ERP (SAP), including items, inventory, suppliers, bills of materials, and locations.
• Oversee the quality, consistency, and integrity of data throughout its lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Logistics, Maintenance, Production, and Plantation teams to ensure reliable information (locations, thresholds, reorder levels, units of measure, etc.).
• Identify and correct naming, translation, coding, and duplicate entries in the existing database (approximately 60,000 items).
• Participate in the redesign of the NIR (New Item Request) tool in collaboration with the IT and business teams, and in the definition of new procedures.
• Define and document data management procedures in accordance with internal rules.
• Define reporting and quality control tools (dashboards, audits, KPIs).
• Work in pairs to monitor item statuses (obsolete, non-renewable, etc.) and ensure business continuity.
• Provide support and coordination on data migration projects (SAGE), particularly during the mapping, cleaning, and inventory reliability phases.
• Actively participate in improving Supply Chain processes by providing a reliable database for planning, purchasing, and operational decisions.
• Train and raise awareness among internal users on best data management practices, particularly through the new NIR tool.
Your Profile:
Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial management, data management, industrial IT, supply chain, CFC or equivalent training.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in an industrial environment with extensive exposure to inventory management and ERP issues.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and a good understanding of industrial processes are must-haves (procurement, production, maintenance).
Database knowledge (SQL)
Advanced Excel
Native French and English (C1 level required).
Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools is an asset
