PpIntroduction: Willing to join an innovative leader in the field of cell line development? Selexis (Geneva, Switzerland) is currently seeking a talented Molecular Biology Engineer to join our dynamic teams and help the development of recombinant mammalian cell lines. You will play an active role in the expression and characterization of proteins in a cross‑functional team environment. Selexis SA, a JSR Life Sciences Company, is the global leader in cell line development with best‑in‑class modular technology and highly specialized solutions that enable the life sciences industry to rapidly discover, develop and commercialize innovative medicines and vaccines. Our innovative cell line development technologies significantly reduce the time, effort, and costs associated with developing high‑performance mammalian cell lines used for innovative therapies (e.g., MAbs, growth factors, and enzymes). /ph3Position Overview /h3pA position is currently open in the Department of Molecular Biology. As part of your work, the Molecular Biology Engineer will serve as the dedicated molecular biology operator of a client’s project. You will be involved in project analysis, design and ordering of optimized nucleotide transgene sequences, preparation of corresponding expression vectors, and quality control analyses: verification of transgene integration into a cell line by PCR amplification from genomic DNA and amplicon sequencing (Sanger and NGS), mycoplasma testing, and assessment of copy number by ddPCR. You will also write reports, maintain associated documentation, implement new methods and technologies, and participate in RD projects. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliConduct client projects through all the molecular biology steps of cell line development at Selexis. /liliPerform sequences optimization, including signal peptide screening using bioinformatics tools. /liliClone plasmids and prepare expression vectors in E. coli. /liliPurify DNA fragments for electroporation. /liliExtract genomic DNA and prepare cDNA. /liliPerform PCR and purify PCR products for Sanger sequencing. /liliPrepare plates for NGS sequencing and conduct NGS sequencing analysis. /liliCarry out Sanger and NGS sequencing analysis. /liliExecute qPCR (TaqMan and SYBR Green) and ddPCR (copy number analysis). /liliPerform mycoplasma testing by PCR. /liliWrite SOPs, forms, documentation, and analysis reports. /liliImplement new methods and technologies in the molecular biology lab. /liliCarry out or participate in RD projects. /liliPresent internal project results. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliEducation / Experience: First professional experience of 1–5 years preferred. /liliNGS data analysis skills would be an advantage. /liliCapacity to implement new methods and technologies. /liliProgramming skills for developing automation bioinformatics tools is a plus. /liliProficiency in English required. /li /ulpIf you are interested in working in a dynamic, innovative, and international environment, please apply directly providing your CV, references, and availability. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
