Job Description
A leading research facility is seeking a Senior Director of Infrastructure Services (Facilities) to oversee and drive the strategy for infrastructure operations and development across a large-scale campus or multi-site organization. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for managing facilities, engineering services, logistics, property control, and site planning to ensure seamless operations with minimal disruption. This position reports directly to executive leadership and plays a critical role in shaping the long-term infrastructure strategy while maintaining operational excellence.

Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $270K - $300K

What You’ll Do:
1. Lead the infrastructure services team, including site planning, project design, construction, and ongoing facility operations, maintenance, and improvements.
2. Oversee the efficient operation and long-term sustainability of physical plant infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and supporting systems.
3. Manage and drive the execution of design and construction projects for facilities, utilities, and site infrastructure.
4. Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure infrastructure strategies align with organizational goals.
5. Establish and enforce policies to promote safety, security, and quality across all infrastructure functions.
6. Collaborate with external partners, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders to implement best practices in infrastructure management.
7. Set and monitor performance goals, including budget targets for maintenance, improvements, project timelines, staffing, and long-term site development.
8. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
9. Develop and implement a quality assurance program that includes regular assessments, audits, and process improvements.
10. Serve as a senior leadership team member, providing insights and strategic recommendations regarding infrastructure issues.
11. Lead and manage a high-performing team, handling hiring, performance reviews, training, and professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, architecture, planning, or related field with 15+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years in facilities operations and planning at a large-scale site or multiple locations.
* Extensive experience managing infrastructure for large-scale industrial, research, or government environments, with a proven track record of improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Expertise in facilities management, engineering, construction, and maintenance, with a solid understanding of site planning and architecture.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and working with various stakeholders, including unionized teams.
* Proven success in overseeing complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on operational improvements.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental compliance, and infrastructure management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners.
* Experience in project and program management, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
* Ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability in all infrastructure operations.
