Role Overview:
The Procurement Lead will lead procurement activities within Northstar for the network of Contract Manufacturers (CMOs) as well as Direct and Indirect Suppliers, ensure budget set up as well for year-on-year savings delivery, as well as create and execute the CMO Procurement Supply strategy across the assigned network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all direct and in-direct procurement services.
* Manage Logistics Procurement (setup/tendering activities as well as routine basis once established).
* Ensure control of Raw Materials & Packaging Materials procurements for the CMOs. Materials Co-operative or, if applicable, taking over direct materials procurement.
* Deliver the cost reduction targets across the assigned CMOs and Suppliers (Portfolio).
* Deploy Negotiation strategy standards across the Portfolio, building a strong “should cost’’ foundation when applicable.
* Drive and define standard work processes within the Procurement function
* Manage Sourcing activities to support competitive cost structure as well as New Product Introductions.
* Contract Lifecycle Management
* Own key strategic contracts and commercial relationship for the assigned portfolio
* Own RFX process for the assigned portfolio
* Negotiate and conclude robust supply agreements in close coordination Northstar LT
* Collaborate with other Functions and contract manufacturers in order to create innovative partnerships and solutions that deliver maximum value to Northstar
* Ensure compliance with GxP and regulatory requirements and continuous improvements of quality relevant processes
* Build strong relationship (if applicable) with Northstar parent company to drive value for Northstar Supply Chain.
* Ensure overall Procurement Internal controls compliance for the assigned portfolio.
* Ensure robust contract compliance systems and measures are in place.
* Contribute or lead systems setup and maintenance in cooperation with relevant functions, such as Vendor Master Data management, Purchase Info Records, Indirect Procurement Management, eRFX, Contract Management system, etc.
* Indirect procurement activities - services contracts, Switzerland Office, any non DRL services contract (for local support) - software, travel, etc.
Qualifications:
* 10 years demonstrated Procurement experience operating in a cGMP OTC and FMCG environment.
* Sourcing strategy and Procurement skills including supplier relationship management, supplier development, continuous improvement, negotiation, and the ability to understand and implement complex contractual arrangements preferred.
* Proven track record of strong cost reduction programs across a diverse range of technologies and dose forms.
* Direct Procurement across a portfolio of materials and packaging is a plus
* Experience of supplier performance and relationship management across complex supply chains
* The ability to work effectively in a cross functional team for sourcing projects
* The ability to influence peers and stakeholders from all parts of the business to drive towards common goals.
