To join our dynamic and fast-paced Global R&D Team, we are currently seeking a GLOBAL SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (Multiple Locations possible).
MISSION
Reporting to the Global R&D Senior Director, the selected candidate will lead and manage strategic global product development and foundational research projects within Sunstar's Consumer Oral Care division. This involves establishing a robust project management system, fostering cross-regional and cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities include:
Global Project Management for Oral Care Products and Services
* Drive the successful execution of globally scalable product development and foundational research projects in the oral care domain.
* Ensure projects meet defined KPIs, timelines, and budgets, aligning with BIG 6 strategic priority geographies.
Cross-Regional and Cross-Functional Communication
* Serve as the central point of contact for global oral care teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across regions and functions such as R&D, marketing, and regulatory affairs.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams to address regional needs and leverage global opportunities in oral care, ensuring full visibility and alignment between local, regional, and global projects.
* Promote cross-regional knowledge sharing to identify areas of synergy for product innovation and renovation.
Establishment and Management of Stage-Gate Process for Global Projects
* Develop and maintain a structured stage-gate system tailored to oral care product development, with clear KPIs and Go-No-Go criteria.
* Ensure consistency and effectiveness in decision-making across global oral care projects.
Portfolio Optimization and Prioritization
* Facilitate effective Innovation & Development Committee decision-making (calendar, agenda, minutes).
* Establish and manage a project prioritization framework based on strategic fit, expected business impact, speed, and value creation.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business Administration with a focus on consumer goods or healthcare.
* Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Dentistry, or Innovation Management).
* At least 7 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company, preferably in the oral care, FMCG, or pharmaceutical markets.
* Proven success in managing complex, cross-regional oral care product development or research projects.
* Experience in implementing stage-gate systems and managing oral care-specific project portfolios.
* Deep understanding of cultural nuances to facilitate seamless collaboration in a global environment.
