Participates in delivery of orthopedic care by coordinating clinical appointments with providers for

patients, referring physicians and facilities.

Essential Functions


* Provide excellent customer service through all interactions such as scheduling contact for clinic

appointments.

* Respond effectively and promptly to all patient, provider and team member requests.
* Provides accurate and courteous information regarding our clinic and physicians to all callers.
* Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information necessary to schedule appointments.
* Maintain/Update patient information and working knowledge of insurance protocols.
* Knowledge of physician preferences and schedules.
* Completes computerized patient scheduling collection of comprehensive demographic and

insurance information required to facilitate timely and accurate bill of services, obtainment of

precertification authorization and benefit information necessary for payment.

* Responsible for effectively screening /identifying customer requirements and taking appropriate

action based on information.

* Ability to transition from inbound and outbound call services depending on volume and

assignment.

* Complete other duties as assigned or identified based on patient needs.
* Ability to adhere to quality and productivity standards.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required

* High School Diploma or GED
* Knowledge of EHR system.
* 1-3 years customer service or healthcare experience.
* Knowledge of standardized scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, attendance procedures.
* Familiar with a variety of healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Type at least 50 WPM.
* Possess knowledge of PC applications (Outlook, Windows, VDI), healthcare applications and

phone systems.

* Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
* Some medical terminology knowledge helpful.
* Attention to detail a requirement.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
* Ability to work well with others in a team driven environment

Pay Information: $18 to $21/hour
