Role: Cell Intern in the Cell 4 Team.

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Duration: 6 to 12 months at 100%

Context & Mission

Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization committed to providing care without discrimination.


Tasks and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Cell Intern are split as follows:

* Operational Support (40%)
o Supports the cell in the organization of meetings (weekly cell meeting, Plan of Action discussions) – preparation of agendas, minutes, archiving.
o Manages information, cell archiving, focal point for online platforms such as Kompas and SharePoint.
o Prepares key operational documents and presentations for internal or external use.
o Supports the RLO in sending material to missions and ordering maps via GIS center.
o Supports the FINOP in preparing powers of attorney, contracts, partnership agreements, audits.
o Provides ad hoc support to the Directorate of Operations – minutes, coordination of operational documents.
o Monitors news updates and reports on the context of the countries followed by the cell.
o May provide operational updates to HQ at delegation from the RP.
* HR and Administrative Support (40%)
o Updates the international staff tracking table (HR Update).
o Follows up with staff on departure documents (BIC, proof of life).
o Organizes briefings/debriefings for international staff.
o Consolidates pre‑departure briefing materials.
o Welcomes departing staff, introduces them to operations, ensures necessary documents.
o Compiles weekly cell mission position table.
o Participates in monthly meetings to open positions and present operational news.
o Files job descriptions and documents for anticipated returns.
o Follows up on other specific HR procedures.
o Develops HR statistics with RHOP.
o Works on a Medico Operational Dossier (10–15%).
* Medico‑Operational Dossier (20%)
o Selects a dossier combining cell needs, academic requirements, and future career goals.
o Agrees on topic within first month with RP, ensuring a clear deliverable.


Your Profile

* Tripartite internship agreement.
* Fluent in English and French.
* Enrolled in a Master's degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Humanitarian or Development Studies, or relevant field.
* Capacity for analysis and synthesis.
* Planning and organization skills.
* Knowledge of humanitarian environment key issues.
* Excellent writing skills.
* Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Context & Mission

MSF operates in humanitarian crises worldwide. The Deputy HR Director supports HR strategy, policy, and operations within MSF Switzerland/OCG.


Tasks & Responsibilities

* Lead and govern HQ HR and HR Administration under HRD.
* Co‑define, drive, and implement HQ people strategy and HR priorities.
* Shape organisational design, transformation initiatives, resource allocation, budget oversight.
* Provide strategic guidance to other HQ locations.

Your Profile

* University Master’s in Human Resources or related field.

Role: Project Manager delivering a large‑scale TIC‑funded intersectional project.

Context & Mission

MSF seeks a PM to design an Information Governance blueprint and MVP for digital content lifecycle management across MSF entities.


Tasks & Responsibilities

* Lead project end‑to‑end: plan, delivery, testing, handover.
* Maintain detailed project plan, scope, milestones, risks, resources.
* Deliver Information Governance blueprint and tested MVP.
* Manage budget, timelines, reporting, TIC governance processes.
* Coordinate stakeholders across Operational Directorates, IKM, IT teams, vendors.
* Integrate existing information management initiatives, avoid duplication.
* Ensure alignment with international standards (OAIS, ISO 15489).
* Build trust‑based relationships with stakeholders.
* Lead vendor selection, PoC, evaluation, and management.

Your Profile

* Master’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Management, Digital Transformation, Project Management, or related.
* Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is an asset.
* Minimum 7 years experience in complex multi‑stakeholder IT or digital transformation projects.
* Experience coordinating across organizations, vendor procurement.
* Experience in MSF or similar organisation is a strong asset.
* Fluency in English and French (mandatory).
* Strong IT systems, digital platforms, enterprise information environment knowledge.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams.
