THE ROLE
As Menswear Designer, you will design lifestyle product rooted in workwear heritage while pushing silhouettes, materials, and details into a modern fashion context. This is a hands-on role with strong product ownership. The Menswear designer will be responsible for the allocated product range from initial concept research, through sketching, tech-packs, fittings, proto-reviews until the finished products.
As a menswear designer, you will be working closely with the other designers in the team, the design manager and ensure a precise and balance collection story telling aligned with the rest of the product categories. You will work cross-functional with product development and merchandise to ensure the designs are in-line with the brief and price target. Next to this, the Menswear designer will be presenting his collection, travel to factories and attend milestone meetings off-site.
PROFILE
Fashion, Art or design education (or equivalent)
3+ years menswear design experience
Strong interest in workwear, heritage brands, fashion trends, lifestyle culture and subcultures
Strong passion for utility product, high quality Fashion, material knowledge and garment construction detailing
Strong understanding of fit, proportion, and wearability
Excellent Illustrator and Photoshop skills
3D design / AI is a plus
Hands-on approach and an agile team player
