Senior Backend Developer Position
We are seeking an experienced backend developer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance systems.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of backend technologies and microservices architecture, with experience in optimizing system performance, managing resources effectively, and improving execution time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing core systems, as well as contributing to technical initiatives and ensuring solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days onsite at our corporate office. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including meal vouchers, health benefits, and life insurance.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain robust backend services that are scalable and efficient.
* Implement new features and enhancements based on evolving business and technical requirements.
* Ensure backend systems are seamlessly integrated and perform reliably under workloads.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Solid proficiency in Java for back-end development.
* Solid understanding of backend technologies and microservices architecture.
* Experience in optimization of system performance, manage resources effectively, and improve execution time.
* Proficiency with databases like MySQL, MariaDB, and DuckDB, including design and query optimization.
* Familiarity with Linux environments and GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with scalable architecture, particularly in cloud environments and containerized infrastructure.
* Experience in Micronaut for developing microservices and backend solutions is a strong plus.
* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and Loki.
* Front-end development skills are a plus but not required.
* Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
